NOA URGES KEBBI RESIDENTS TO SHUN PROTESTS, SUPPORT SECURITY FORCES

The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Kebbi State Directorate, has urged residents to remain calm, avoid planned protests over insecurity, and support security agencies in their efforts to restore peace across the state.

The State Director of NOA, Muhammed Nasir Karofi, made the appeal in a statement in Birnin Kebbi, warning that protests could distract security personnel from their operations at a critical time.

Nasir Karofi also cautioned residents against spreading unverified reports capable of creating panic, stressing that misinformation could undermine security efforts and expose communities to further risks.

He called on the public to encourage and support security personnel, while expressing condolences to families who lost loved ones in attacks and praying for lasting peace in the state.

The NOA State Director commended Governor Nasir Idris for his efforts to address insecurity, particularly measures aimed at supporting displaced persons and facilitating their safe return to their communities.

He urged traditional rulers, religious leaders, community heads and youth organisations to promote peace, vigilance and unity, while encouraging residents to remain confident in collective efforts to overcome insecurity.
