The Chief Imam of Zuru Emirate, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Tanko Liman, has described the death of the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Honourable Muhammad Usman Ankwe, as a monumental loss to the people of Zuru Emirate.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor on Communication and Strategy, Abdullahi Idris Saudakin Zuru, who conveyed the condolences of the Islamic cleric to the government and people of Kebbi State.
In separate condolence messages to Governor Nasir Idris and the Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami Gomo III, the Chief Imam expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the late Speaker.
Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Tanko Liman described the deceased as an uncommon philanthropist and a caring leader who dedicated his life to the service of humanity and the development of his constituency.
He noted that the late Speaker’s relentless commitment to improving the welfare of his people made significant impact, particularly in the areas of electricity supply, rural road maintenance, and economic empowerment programmes.
According to him, these interventions complemented the ongoing efforts of the Kebbi State Government in its urban renewal drive and contributed meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the state.
The Chief Imam prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Speaker and for Allah to grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, while also praying for the family of the deceased, Governor Nasir Idris, and the Emir of Zuru the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
