APC Sets Nomination Fees for 2026 Congresses, National Convention Positions

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the official fees for the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for aspirants seeking party offices at ward, local government, state, zonal and national levels ahead of its 2026 congresses.

 

The fees are contained in an adjusted timetable signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, OFR.

 

At the ward level, aspirants will pay ₦5,000 for the Expression of Interest form for all positions. Nomination forms cost ₦20,000 for Ward Chairman, while Ward Secretary and Treasurer will pay ₦15,000 each. Ward Vice Chairmen and other offices also attract a fee of ₦15,000 each.

 

For the local government area (LGA) level, the Expression of Interest fee is ₦10,000 for all positions. Nomination forms cost ₦100,000 for LGA Chairman, ₦50,000 for Vice Chairman, and ₦50,000 each for Secretary, Treasurer and other offices.

 

At the state level, aspirants are to pay ₦50,000 for Expression of Interest. Nomination forms cost ₦1 million for State Chairman, while State Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and other offices are pegged at ₦500,000 each.

 

For zonal positions, Expression of Interest forms cost ₦100,000, while Nomination Forms for all zonal officers are fixed at ₦200,000.

 

At the national level, the Expression of Interest fee is ₦100,000 for all positions. Nomination forms cost ₦10 million for National Chairman, ₦7.5 million each for Deputy National Chairmen (North and South) and National Secretary, and ₦5 million each for other national offices. Members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) are required to pay ₦250,000.

 

The party also announced special concessions for female aspirants, youths and persons living with disabilities. Under the arrangement, they will pay the full Expression of Interest fee but only 50 per cent of the prescribed Nomination fee for any position.

 

The APC said the guidelines are part of preparations for a transparent and orderly conduct of its 2026 congresses and national convention.
