The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru, has congratulated Christian faithful in Kebbi State and across Nigeria on the celebration of Christmas.
In a statement issued on Thursday, December 25, 2025, the Speaker described Christmas as a season of peace, unity, and deep reflection.
He noted that the period reminds citizens of the values of love, hope, and compassion, which are essential for peaceful coexistence in the state and the country at large.
Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru encouraged Christians to use the festive season to pray for peace, security, and solutions to the challenges facing Kebbi State and Nigeria.
He stressed the importance of unity and collective responsibility in addressing insecurity and other socio-economic issues.
The Speaker assured residents that the Kebbi State House of Assembly would continue to work in collaboration with the Executive Arm of Government to promote inclusiveness and social development for all citizens, irrespective of religious beliefs.
He also reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting the administration of Governor Nasir Idris in its efforts to protect lives, promote harmony, and improve the welfare of Christians and other religious groups in the state.
Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman further Zuru urged residents to celebrate the Christmas season with love, tolerance, and mutual respect, while upholding the state’s rich cultural and religious diversity.
