Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has approved the release of over two point one one billion naira for the payment of gratuities and death benefits to seven hundred and seventy-two beneficiaries.
A statement by the Head of Service, Malami Shekare, signed by the Director of Administration, Rashidu Muhammad Bala, said the beneficiaries include state and contract staff, retirees from the Local Government Service and Local Government Education Authorities, as well as families of deceased public servants.
The statement explained that the payments cover gratuities and death benefits for the period between September sixteenth, twenty twenty-five and January fifteenth, twenty twenty-six.
According to the statement, the approval is in line with Governor Nasir Idris’ commitment to the prompt payment of retirement benefits and other entitlements.
It added that the gesture underscores the administration’s determination to improve the welfare of workers, retirees and the families of deceased public servants through the timely settlement of their benefits.
