Kebbi Governor’s Wife Leads APC Women Sensitisation on NIN, Membership Registration

The importance of the National Identification Number (NIN) card has been highlighted as a key requirement for obtaining the APC membership card, as the party continues with its nationwide modern membership registration exercise.

The Kebbi State APC Women Leader, Hajiya Aishatu Abubakar Gunabi, made this known during an awareness meeting for APC members in Kebbi State, alongside women coordinators and key stakeholders of the party, held in Birnin Kebbi.

Hajiya Aishatu Abubakar Gunabi urged women coordinators and stakeholders of the APC in Kebbi State to intensify awareness among party members and encourage them to fully participate in the APC membership registration exercise.

She explained that this would enable members, especially women, to actively participate in political activities at all levels.

Hajiya Gunabi expressed her dissatisfaction with the low turnout of women during the registration process, stressing that women are the backbone of success in any political struggle. However, she noted with concern that women have been left behind this time in carrying out their responsibilities.

In her remarks, the wife of the Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Nasare Nasir Idris, who was represented by the Commissioner for Education, Hajiya Halima Bande, described the meeting as the first of its kind, aimed at educating women on how to use the National Identification Number card for the APC’s modern membership registration.

Hajiya Halima Bande also emphasized that both the voter’s card and the National Identification Number are very important in today’s society, especially for accessing various forms of assistance and support.

She therefore called on women not to allow themselves to be left behind in ensuring they possess these important documents.

Also speaking, the Chairperson of the Association of Wives of Local Government Chairmen in Kebbi State, Hajiya Halira Tanimu Kangiwa, assured that they would do everything possible to ensure the objectives set are successfully achieved.
