The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kebbi State has re-elected Alhaji Musa Suleiman Sharma as its State Chairman following a peaceful state congress held in Birnin Kebbi.

Delegates from all 21 local government areas participated in the exercise, which produced a fresh State Executive Committee that will steer the party’s affairs for another term.

Shortly after he was declared winner, Alhaji Sharma addressed journalists and expressed gratitude to party members for renewing their confidence in his leadership, assuring that he would continue to strengthen internal democracy, expand party structures, and enhance the NNPP’s visibility across the state.

Sharma charged NNPP officials at all levels to intensify efforts to canvass for more members, noting that the party has come to stay in Kebbi State, citing the recent defection of over 500 members from various political parties into the NNPP as clear evidence of its growing popularity and general acceptance across the state.

He expressed optimism that, with sustained unity and hard work, the NNPP would be victorious in the forthcoming elections in the state, urging members to remain focused and committed to the party’s ideals.

Sharma also commended stakeholders for ensuring a transparent, credible, and orderly election, saying the unity demonstrated during the process reflects the NNPP’s rising influence in Kebbi.

The party Chairman further encouraged supporters to remain steadfast, noting that the NNPP is committed to mobilizing grassroots support and providing a credible political alternative for the people of Kebbi State.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant stakeholders monitored the congress.
