The Kebbi State Police Command has announced the appointment of a new Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, who has officially assumed duty.
According to a statement signed by the outgoing PPRO, CSP Nafiu Abubakar Kotarkoshi, the change is part of the Command’s routine administrative reshuffling.
SP Bashir Usman takes over from CSP Kotarkoshi, who has been posted to head the General Investigation Department at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, in Birnin Kebbi.
Before his new appointment, SP Usman also served as the Officer in Charge of General Investigation at the SCID. He pledged to uphold professionalism and transparency while strengthening public trust and cooperation with the Police. The Command noted that he can be reached on 07031635546 for official communication.
The Police Command appealed to the general public to extend maximum cooperation to the new PPRO to enhance effective police–public relations across the state.
