Kebbi SSG Relocates to the New Ultra Modern State Secretariat.

In compliance with the directive of Governor Nasir Idris, the Secretary to the Kebbi State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, has officially relocated to the newly commissioned ultra-modern State Secretariat complex in Birnin Kebbi.

Other top government officials, including the State Head of Service, Town Planner Malami Mohammed Shekare, also moved into their offices at the Secretariat in line with the governor’s directive.

Speaking to journalists shortly after settling into his new office, the SSG described the completion of the Secretariat as a landmark achievement of the present administration, noting that the facility has the capacity to accommodate over 25,000 state civil servants. He emphasized that the complex was designed to provide a conducive and efficient working environment for government employees.

On maintenance, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida said the state government has an established culture of maintaining public facilities and assured that the practice would be strengthened. He explained that officers responsible for maintenance would be adequately supported and encouraged to ensure the complex remains in good condition.

He further disclosed that adequate provisions have been made for security, catering services, and other essential amenities within the Secretariat, enabling workers to carry out their duties without the need to leave the premises in search of food or other services.

Regarding the old State Secretariat complex, the SSG stated that the government would take a decision in due course on the most appropriate use of the facility.

In his remarks, the Head of Service, Malami Mohammed Shekare, expressed appreciation to Governor Idris for ensuring the completion of the previously abandoned Secretariat project. He assured that civil servants would enjoy a conducive working environment and urged them to reciprocate the government’s gesture by offering maximum support and cooperation to the Kauran Gwandu administration.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of M-Tech Universal Concept Limited, Engineer Manir Musa Jega, thanked God for granting him the opportunity and capacity to execute the project successfully. He equally expressed gratitude to the Kebbi State Government for awarding the contract to his company.
