The Kebbi State House of Assembly has passed the Senior Secondary Education Board Bill into law, a major step toward strengthening the management and quality of senior secondary education across the state.
The bill was passed during plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru, following the adoption of the report presented by the House Committee on Education chaired by Hon. Muhammad Garba Bena.
Presenting the committee’s report, Hon. Bena explained that the legislation seeks to enhance the efficiency, coordination, and overall quality of senior secondary education in Kebbi State.
He expressed optimism that once the bill receives the assent of Governor Nasir Idris, the new Senior Secondary Education Board will provide greater autonomy and promote better policy implementation for schools across the state.
Speaker Muhammad Usman Zuru commended members of the House and the Committee on Basic and Secondary Education for their dedication and teamwork toward improving the education sector.
