KIPA Partners with Academics for Kebbi Investment Growth

The Kebbi Investment Promotion Agency (KIPA) has expressed its readiness to partner with academic institutions in the state to promote investment through research, innovation, and skills development in Kebbi State.

The Director General of the agency, Dr. Kabir Kamba, made this known during a courtesy visit to the Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK), Kalgo, as part of efforts to deepen collaboration between the agency and the institution, Saying the agency seeks to harness the university’s intellectual and research potential to attract investment and create opportunities that benefit both investors and communities.

Dr. Kamba explained that the partnership will promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment-driven initiatives for rapid economic transformation, noting that Kebbi State has made remarkable progress in creating a business-friendly environment, positioning itself as a transport and logistics hub for the West African market.

He further highlighted eight key business reforms introduced by the state government, which, when fully implemented, will enhance the ease of doing business and attract more investors.
The KIPA boss also commended the state governor for issuing executive orders to ensure transparent issuance of certificates of occupancy, while urging citizens to follow due process in obtaining them.

Dr. Kamba reaffirmed that proactive engagement and continuous investor support remain central to KIPA’s vision of promoting inclusive and sustainable investment growth in the state.

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi, Professor Mohammed Zayyan Umar, described the visit as timely and commendable. He assured the Director General of the university’s readiness to partner with KIPA in advancing research-based solutions and innovative projects that would foster economic development in Kebbi State.
