The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the Ramadan fast for the year 1447 AH.
In a statement the Speaker described Ramadan as a sacred period of spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and divine mercy.
He urged Muslims in Kebbi State and across Nigeria to use the holy month to strengthen their faith through prayers, charity, and recitation of the Holy Qur’an.
The Speaker called on residents to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in the state and the country, emphasizing the need to observe the fast with sincerity and uphold the teachings of Islam in daily conduct.
He also appealed to wealthy individuals and organizations to extend support to the less privileged by providing food and other essentials, particularly in view of the challenges often associated with the fasting period.
Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman further wished Muslims a spiritually fulfilling Ramadan and prayed for Allah’s guidance and acceptance of acts of worship throughout the holy month
