Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has been described as a leader committed to serving the people of Kebbi State.
The Chairman of the Fadama Farmers Association in Gangare town, Kalgo Local Government Area, Alhaji Muhammadu Ja’a Gangare, made the remark while speaking with journalists in Kalgo.
Alhaji Gangare commended the Governor for what he described as an inclusive style of leadership, noting that Kalgo Local Government has benefited from several key appointments under the present administration.
He listed some of the appointees to include the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Magaji Nayilwa; the Chairman of Kalgo Local Government, Dr. Alhaji Yahaya Bala Kuka; the Executive Secretary of the State Secondary Schools Management Board, Alhaji Babangida Bello Kalgo; and the Director of Finance, Alhaji Ribado Bello Noma, among others.
The Fadama association chairman appealed to Governor Idris to extend more developmental projects to rural areas in order to boost local businesses and improve living standards, similar to what has been witnessed in other parts of the state.
He also urged members and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kalgo to remain united and committed to the success of the party.
Alhaji Gangare further acknowledged the humanitarian efforts of a member of the party, Alhaji Umar Umaru Namashaya Diggi, for his financial support to residents in the area, urging others to emulate such gestures.
He also used the occasion to call on the Rector of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, Dr. Usman Sani Tunga, to heed calls from constituents to contest for the position of member representing Bunza/Kalgo/Birnin Kebbi Federal Constituency, in order to consolidate democratic gains in the area.
