The Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Faruk Aliyu Yaro Enabo, has announced that Governor Nasir Idris has approved the release of ten billion naira to secure 1,300 additional Hajj slots for the 2026 pilgrimage.
Speaking at a press conference in his office, Alhaji Faruk Enabo explained that the intervention is aimed at ensuring that no intending pilgrim from Kebbi State is left behind, following the closure of the initial payment deadline.
Alh Faruk Enabo noted that with the governor’s support, the payment window has now been reopened, and intending pilgrims have until Monday, 16th December 2025, to complete their Hajj payment.
He urged all interested persons to visit the Agency’s headquarters or reach out to their local government Hajj guides for further information.
The Chairman revealed that only 2,110 pilgrims had made full payment before the governor’s timely intervention, which he described as a major relief to thousands of prospective pilgrims.
He expressed profound appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris for his constant care, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of Kebbi citizens.
Alhaji Faruk Enabo also announced that Flynas Airlines has been assigned by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, as the official carrier for Kebbi State pilgrims.
The airlift for the 2026 Hajj is scheduled to begin on May 3, 2026, with Kebbi State among the first to be airlifted.
It will be recalled that NAHCON had earlier fixed December 5, 2025, as the deadline for the payment of the 2026 Hajj fare.
The deadline expired last Friday, and no extension has been announced.
