The Vice-Chancellor of Kashim Ibrahim University, Maiduguri, Professor Babagana Gutti, says the institution is seeking a stronger partnership with Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero, to promote academic excellence, research and innovation.
Professor Gutti stated this when the Kebbi State Governor’s media aides, led by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, paid an advocacy visit to the university.
He said the proposed collaboration would strengthen the existing relationship between Kebbi and Borno States, particularly in the education sector.

The Vice-Chancellor explained that the partnership could include academic and professional exchanges, joint research, knowledge sharing, capacity building and other programmes aimed at improving the quality of education in both states.
Professor Gutti also announced that the management of Kashim Ibrahim University would visit Abdullahi Fodio University in Kebbi to explore further areas of collaboration.
Earlier, the Kebbi State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, said the visit was aimed at exploring areas of partnership between the two states, particularly in education.

The Commissioner highlighted some of the achievements of Governor Nasir Idris in the education sector, including support for tertiary institutions and the upgrading of schools across the state’s 21 Local Government Areas.
He expressed optimism that the proposed partnership would promote knowledge exchange, strengthen institutional cooperation and create opportunities for mutual development between Kebbi and Borno States.
