Kebbi Assembly Speaker Calls for Unity, Dedication as House Resumes After Recess

The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru, has urged lawmakers to show renewed dedication, punctuality, and commitment in the discharge of their legislative duties.

The Speaker made the call during plenary following the resumption of sittings after a six-week recess.

He also appealed for unity and cooperation among members to ensure the effective delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Kebbi State.

Shortly after the plenary session, the Speaker alongside the Majority Leader, Hon. Faruku Aliyu Nassarawa Jega, Hon. Muhammad Garba Bena, and Hon. Muhammad Buhari Aleiro, decorated a security officer attached to the Speaker, Faruku Aliyu Yeldu, of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

The officer was recently promoted from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Corps Two to Assistant Superintendent of Corps One.

While congratulating him on the promotion, the Speaker urged the officer to remain committed and dedicated as he takes on higher responsibilities.
