Kebbi Declares Total Support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nasir Idris Rallies APC Loyalists

Governor Nasir Idris has reaffirmed Kebbi State’s unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that the state remains “100 percent” behind the current administration.

The governor made the statement in Birnin Kebbi during a unity rally organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in support of President Tinubu. He described the large turnout at the event as clear evidence of the state’s loyalty to the ruling party and the president.

“Kebbi is for APC, Kebbi is for President Bola Tinubu and Kauran Gwandu,” Idris said, noting that the massive gathering reflected the people’s commitment to the party.

He added that the state has every reason to sustain its support for the APC at both state and federal levels, citing ongoing developmental projects and empowerment programmes delivered by the Federal Government. The governor also stressed that his administration is building on the achievements of past leaders, with a continued focus on projects that directly impact citizens.

Governor Nasir Idris expressed appreciation to residents who turned out in large numbers for the rally, describing their participation as a strong endorsement of the APC-led administrations at both levels.

Earlier, the Kebbi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana Zuru, said the rally was convened to demonstrate solidarity with both President Tinubu and Governor Idris. He noted that party supporters attended from all 21 local government areas of the state.

Other speakers, including the APC State Women Leader, Hajiya Aisha Gunabi; the Executive Secretary of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruk Musa Enabo; and the party’s National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Muhammad Sulaiman Argungu, also reaffirmed their loyalty to the president and the governor.

Sulaiman Argungu, however, clarified that the party would not grant automatic tickets to aspirants, stating that all candidates would emerge either through consensus arrangements or primary elections.

Dignitaries at the event included the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu; former Governor Saidu Dakingari; former Minister Yusuf Tanko Sununu; Senators Adamu Aliero, Yahaya Abdullahi and Musa Mai Doki; members of the House of Representatives; and other top government officials and political appointees.
