The Kebbi State government has urged the newly inducted 261 nurses and midwives to maintain professionalism and demonstrate good character in their duties.
The State Commissioner of Health, Alhaji Yunusa Isma’il, offered this guidance during the induction ceremony held for graduates from the Kebbi State College of Nursing and Midwifery in Birnin Kebbi.
Speaking on behalf of the commissioner, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr. Zaki Abubakar, congratulated the new inductees on joining the state government’s civil service.
In his remarks, Comrade Kelani Abdulganiyu, Chairman of the Kebbi State Association of Nursing and Midwifery, emphasized that the addition of new staff is crucial for addressing the demand for healthcare workers in the state.
Comrade Abdulganiyu also commended the state government for its efforts to enhance healthcare delivery and assured the association’s readiness to collaborate with the new members to support the government’s initiatives in improving healthcare services in Kebbi State.
