Minister Praises Gov Uba Sani’s 2- Year Agricultural Drive

The Minister of Agriculture and Foods Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, has commended kaduna State Government for it’s transformational initiative on agro-industrial landscape of the State within two and half years.

He made the commendation when he led a delegation of Commissioners of Agriculture from the 36 states of the country on a courtesy call to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in kaduna.

Abba Kyari noted that the state has become a point of reference in the agriculture and agro-industrial sector in Nigeria stressing that what they have witnessed in Kaduna aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope initiative.

Responding, Governor Uba Sani explained that Kaduna is the only sub national in the entire north that has launched Agricultural Quality Assuarance Center AQAC, which will help in certifying farmers produce for export.

Uba Sani also said that Kaduna is the only state to has launched the Special Agro Processing Zone SAPZ in northern Nigeria and the first to launch it in the country, followed by Cross Rivers and Oyo States.

According to him, Kaduna is the only state in the country that has distributed 900 trucks of free fertilizer to smallholder farmers in the last two years.
