The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has released the official fares for the 2026 Hajj season, with intending pilgrims set to pay an average of ₦200,000 less compared to last year.
Announcing the development on Sunday, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman, said the new fares were approved after extensive consultations with relevant stakeholders, including the Forum of States’ leadership, and the final approval of the Federal Government.
According to the breakdown, intending pilgrims from the Maiduguri–Yola Zone, covering Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, and Taraba States, will pay ₦8,118,333.67. Other northern states will pay ₦8,244,813.67, while those from the southern states are expected to pay ₦8,561,013.67.
Professor Abdullahi also disclosed that a NAHCON delegation in Saudi Arabia has signed agreements with the 2026 Hajj service provider, Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya, as well as the official transportation company, Daleel Al-Ma’aleem, to ensure smooth operations during the pilgrimage.
He urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments on or before 31st December 2025, warning that late payments might not be accommodated.
The NAHCON management assured pilgrims of improved services and commended the Federal Government for its support in making this year’s Hajj more affordable.
