A delegation from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has commended Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency for its outstanding commitment in Hajj operations across the country.
Speaking during a visit to the agency, the Commissioner for Planning at NAHCON, Professor Abubakar Yagawal, said Kebbi State has consistently been at the forefront of implementing every Hajj policy introduced by the Commission, due to the dedication and foresight of the Agency’s Chairman Alh Faruk Enabo
Professor Yagawal explained that the main purpose of the visit was to discuss the payment of Hajj fares ahead of the 2025 pilgrimage.
He announced that December 21st, 2025 has been set as the deadline for the payment of Hajj deposits, while March 20th, 2026 will be the final date for visa processing.
He urged intending pilgrims to mobilize and complete their payments early, noting that the Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has already made necessary arrangements to support all intending pilgrims.
The NAHCON official also highlighted new regulations introduced by Saudi authorities, especially concerning the medical fitness of pilgrims.
He emphasized that anyone suffering from serious illnesses such as heart disease or other chronic conditions must be certified medically fit before embarking on the pilgrimage.
In his remarks, Chairman of Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency Alh Faruk Aliyu Enabo welcomed delegation and expressed appreciation for the recognition given to the state.
Alh Faruku Enabo reaffirmed that Kebbi will continue to play a leading role in ensuring successful Hajj operations, stressing that the state has enacted laws to guide pilgrims and prevent avoidable losses.
According to the Alh Faruk Enabo, in the new regulations, any pregnant woman who is issued a visa will forfeit her Hajj payment, and anyone whose name appears on the flight manifest but fails to show up for departure will automatically lose their deposit.
He further assured NAHCON of the Agency’s full support in ensuring smooth and successful Hajj operations for all intending pilgrims from Kebbi State.
