The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) has urged the people of Kebbi State to continue supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consolidate on the gains already achieved under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, made the call during an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting in Birnin Kebbi.
Senator Uzodinma said President Tinubu’s administration deserves commendation and support for the bold economic reforms initiated to revitalize the nation’s economy.
He noted that despite the initial hardship experienced following the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of exchange rates, the economy is gradually recovering, and the effects of the reforms are becoming visible.
According to him, “Nigeria, which was almost broke, is now gradually becoming strong again.”
The PGF Chairman commended APC stakeholders in Kebbi State for their unity, loyalty, and cooperation, describing the cordial relationship between past and present leaders of the party as exemplary.
Also speaking, Niger State Governor, Umar Mohammed Bago, expressed appreciation to the people of Kebbi State for their continued support for Governor Nasir Idris’ administration.
He said the meeting was convened to interact with party members and assess the level of unity within the APC, noting that he observed no misunderstanding among members.
Governor Bago disclosed that President Tinubu has directed state governors to compile a list of one thousand small-scale entrepreneurs from every ward in the country for empowerment under a new federal initiative.
In his remarks, Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, reaffirmed that Kebbi remains an APC stronghold “from top to bottom” and pledged to sustain people-oriented projects that directly impact citizens’ lives.
