Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, representing Kebbi South Senatorial District, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a resignation letter dated May 14, 2026, and addressed to the APC Ward Chairman of Rafin Zuru Ward in Zuru Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Senator Maidoki said his decision was informed by the lingering internal crises within the party.
The lawmaker stated that the unresolved issues in the APC had made his political aspirations a source of concern.
“I am writing to inform you of the withdrawal of my membership from the All Progressives Congress, APC, Rafin Zuru Ward,” the letter read.
He added that his resignation was based on the “lingering internal crises of the APC that has made my political aspirations a source of concern.”
Senator Maidoki thanked the party for the opportunity given to him to serve under its platform and conveyed his regards to the party leadership.
Garba Musa Maidoki currently serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Legislative Compliance and Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation.
His resignation is expected to generate political reactions within Kebbi State and the APC ahead of future political activities in the state.
